FREE teaching excerpt #1 (and more to come) from How To Sound Real & Nail the Sale video braintracksaudio.com/soundreal [1 major coursework acting trick + 127 additional tips from Nancy Wolfson's private Braintracksaudio.com Voice Over Curriculum, many exclusive to this video only. Nearly 2 hrs of commercial, acting, voice performance instruction.] ================================= Ancient announcer-y teachings and some of today's small market program directors often had/have voice talents doing what I call "Uncle-Sam"-ing the listener. Why? The "Old School" used to prioritize the seller's focus on making the listener feel special. That is no longer the priority. In today's Non Announcer-y top market world of Acting for Advertising, the action tasks and benefits to the consumer of using the product are now paramount. One critical mistake that makes a read sound "announcer-y" (disingenuous, fake, sell-y) is saucing up the "you" when "you" (or "their" or "your") is not the operative word in the sentence. Do not let your story's nouns, verbs and objects die in the unsupported shadow of bombastic pronoun voice punching. RARELY is the listener (the "you") the most important/operative word in the sentence.
