Thanks for the invite! Too bad we didn't cross paths when I was coaching for Edge - I left before you got there. Anyway, good that we "meet" now. Looking forward to more correspondence.

Best wishes,
Judy"

  • Hi Judy: In honor of your birthday, I sat down and wrote you a
song. Here are the lyrics . . . .”This is your Birthday Song,
    It isn’t very long . . . “

  • Hey Judy

This is your day. Happy B/day

    Cheers from down-under :-)
  • Hey Judy, thanks for the note! YOu ask about my music training...I was a voice major and piano minor and big theatrical student too at Missouri Univ Kansas City through a masters. Then attended Univ. of North Texas sixteen years later finishing doctoral work and got another masters, this time in music education including theatre education. I majored there in harpsichord! That's because I did not want to have to do the ensembles required of a singer. I could not afford to lose all that money leaving town when my studio career was going so strong. I've taught music history and of course continue to coach singers as well as voiceover talents and actors. I taught with the legendary Marni Nixon (Disney and films, the voice of Audrey Hepburn and West Side Story Maria and so much more) last summer in Nashville. I still give studio singer workshops. I was a studio jingle and backup singer twenty years here in Dallas. The biz dried up here. Most is now in LA and NYC. Dallas still has some studio music but mostly gone. About two months ago I sang a title song for a new cartoon package and still do some singing with my husband's jazz group. He's a bassist. More later. Stay in touch and do indeed tell me more about your career!!!
  • Hello! Like you, I have a music background and doctoral degrees in music as well as in communications etc. I always considered hosting a music show. See you've done it. But unfortunately it proved to be too time consuming and most classical stations are low budget. I see you've been doing well in voiceovers too. Good. Being in the NYC area you should have no problem snagging a terrific agent there. And of course, our business has moved online to the pay to play sites too. Visit my two groups on VU, "Bettye Zoller's Voiceover Universe" and "Audiobooks and Narrations." And keep in touch!!
