"I had a very good time recording my first VO demo with Keith Alan in Tampa at his 57thstreetmedia studio.I was comfortable and surprised myself. Being 65 and finding out I could still evoke the "actor's sense of drama, comedy and,of course, the famous…"

"Hello,Lani! You live where I spent my early childhood. San Diego. We lived at 3504 Grimm from 1944 to 1950. Thank's for the listen and I am in the process of putting together some equipment for my foray into the voicing of the variety you mention. I…"

  • Hi Wesley!!

May I ask for more information about Keith Allen in Tampa and his producing demos at his Tampa studio?  I live in Seminole near the beaches, and I am looking for more and more Voice over connections to move forward in the VO field.   I sure could use your help!  Thanks! - Dave Van Sise of "DVS Voice Overs"

  • Send me an email to lani@audiogodz.com with Talent Assessment in the subject line. or just go here

I've closed all the classes.. Everyone thinks they are so ready to hit the ground running, but from my experience everyone falls short and needs a lot of coaching and direction. But I don't have the time anymore, so I'll try and help you the best I can.
  • So what would you like to do Wesley? Sign up for the Talent Assessment deal? I could send you the batch of male character samples I spent a long time compiling.
Or if you would like, my classes are happening starting next week and I most likely will not be repeating them this year.
Thanks so much for responding. I'm interested in hearing your range---more than this one demo you have here. But it's a lovely demo---just geared more for commercials which is a good thing. You should consider separating your demos into classifications...narrative, commercial, character etc.
  • Morning drive eh, Wesley? Me too!
Welcome to VU. You're in good company here!

I wish you the best of success in all your adventures! I'd love you to join my group Ask a Casting Director. There's a lot of useful info that might help you there.

I'm a Casting Director and experienced actor (4 octave range) for Video Games and more. It's a unique genre, unlike any other that requires a lot of differentiation in voices because there are so many parts with so few lines each. It requires a huge vocal repertoire. If you feel you're experienced as a voice actor with a lot of diverse and useable characters, and you can hit the ground running, you can go to my Talent Assessment page. Classes and coaching links are also there, if you'd like more instant help to get where you need to be to land those jobs.

    Stay Super!
