VOICE DESCRIPTION
"The Voice Over Chameleon"
- From Old School Announcer to Smooth Operator, "Guy Next Door" to Character Specialist & Accomplished Mimic. Versatile, Professional ...and takes direction well!
When delivering the "hard sell" I can preform an effective, commanding, "Announcer" type voice, while also capable of a smooth, soothing, deep toned delivery for narration and the "softer sell". By utilizing my natural speaking voice, I can capture the essence of the "guy next door" approach for projects that require a vocal actor.
I can do many impressions both political and celebrity, common and obscure ...but most importantly, I can mimic several well known Voice-Over Artists and Announcers, from Don Pardo-esc to Casey Kasem-ish and dozens in between. My comedic delivery is spot on.

Just thought I'd respond to your comment on my blog. I appreciate you taking the time to listen to my podcast. As an audio engineer, I'm sure you've worked often with the "beeps", especially if you did any ADR sessions.
In promo they're used to count in the announcer so they'll announce in sync to the picture. Just as in old time film editing, it's all about the sound matching the picture. You'd be surprised how many actors don't know this simple but important technical cue. As to your second inquiry, many times the copy is cut/abbreviated/truncated to accomodate more sot's or sfxs and it's the announcer's job to make it sound like a proper and complete sentence. This is especially true on combo spots (where more than 2 or three shows are being promoted). Hope this info helps and that all is well with you. Take care Tim.
Cheers,
DAVO
Thanks for the add.
Really great political impression demo!! Truly excellent. An area I haven't focused enough on...Your Arnold is great. You manage to capture different nuances of him that I haven't heard other impressionists do, very cool. Very witty Broadcast demo too:)
