I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)

Voice Actor

HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE

I've been working for over 23 years as a voice actor, director, and producer. I am also highly experienced in dubbing, having learned the craft in Spain, one of the countries in the world where the best dubbing is done. I have voiced TV and radio commercials, corporate videos, animated cartoons and feature films, documentaries, audioguides, video games, DVDs, e-learning and web site projects, etc., and produced and directed the same when multiple voices have been needed.

RECENTLY BOOKED PROJECTS

In 2011, I dubbed the Scottish Smurf into Spanish for Spain's movie circuit. In American English, for example, I recorded numerous documentaries for the international markets, a TV commercial for CNN, and dozens of corporate videos for Spanish companies that operate internationally. I also recorded two of the main roles and cast and directed the voices for the online video game Deadlight, scheduled to be released next summer, as well as the bilingual leading role, a teenager, in the forthcoming educational online video game Amazing Spanish Academy. In British RP, I recorded the voice in off for the 3rd season of the Pocoyo pre-school series broadcast in Spain and will be recording the 4th season soon; likewise, I have been voicing the online materials to accompany a Spanish publishing house's textbooks.

LANGUAGES

I work mostly American English, but I also work a lot in British RP and occasionally in Castilian Spanish.

VOICE DESCRIPTION

I have a relatively deep, textured voice. As a singer, I can hit all of the bass and baritone ranges, if that gives an idea, although my natural speaking voice may not seem quite as deep. In advertising I do a lot of claims and "voice of confidence" work – banks, insurance, etc. – but my voice is very flexible.

DIALECTS, Character voices and vocal impressions

I can do from late teens to as old as needed, although some clients even have me doing some kids' voices. I can do raspy, breathy, infirm, nasal, and various combinations of different vocal effects. I only do RP in British English, but I can do many regional American accents, from New England to the deep South, as well as a lot of "foreign" accents in English – Swedish, German, Russian, Italian, Cuban, Pakistani, etc. In animation, I've done over 10 different voices for the same film: In one I did two leading roles, a big-game hunter and a chameleon, plus several soldiers, a veterinarian's assistant, a vulture, a couple of moles, two wolves, and a stork.
