"What a wonderful poem my dear, we can almost hear the birds singing in the garden!
My mother said you also need two spoons of baking powder. Or did she say talking louder? Can't remember really."

  • Hey there Stefan - greetings from London!
  • Kind and inspirational! :)
  • Yes, it is a really cool feeling. Thanks for all your ideas and inspiration Stefan. Very kind of you.

    All the best,
    Vida
  • Hi Stefan, kul att du har mycket och att du jobbar inför VOICE2010, hopefully I can go one day once my girl is a bit bigger. Met with an old friend at a production company in Stockholm regarding rates and such as we discussed earlier. She agreed i was a good idea we gang up and agree on rates so they don't get dumped. Hone berättade även att hon ibland kan förhandla åt rösterna, självklart lägger hon till en kostnad men detta tycker jag låter nice i de fall man har en större och bra kund. Lite som en egen agent kan man ju låtsas ;)
Hope all's well with you and Merry Christmas if we aren't in touch before that. Hej hej.

  • Wow, thanks so much for all the advice. I'll be sure to let you know when I do a dual language reel. Such a good idea. And I'll be eternally grateful for client recommendations when the time comes. You rock!
  • Thanks for the info Stefan. Very helpful. You're the third person who has suggested I do a narration reel, which makes sense, because most of my work in Farsi is narration. Yes, the Iranian diaspora is very ambitious and determined. I actually have a few cousins in Sweden and they're real go-getters.

I'll be sure to keep the mic port pro in mind. Thanks so much. Very kind of you to take time out of your day to post all this info. I should check vu more often!

    All the best,
    Vida
  • FANTASTIC! Thanks so much!

  • Hi Stefan!

You are welcome for the compliment - you deserve it!

Have you been able to get back to Simone? I'm sure she will appreciate any help you can give her.

I am looking forward to seeing you at VOICE!

    Hugs,

    Penny
  • Hi Stefan,
I am a Dutch voice talent and recently became a member of VU. Penny suggested I get in touch with you because off course Dutch language has a small reach, although my English is good, my German is pretty ok. Maybe you have some advise for me how to promote my voice wordwide. I am 20 years in the voice over business. Would love to hear from you,
    Kind regards,

  • Hi Stefan,
I wanted to get a portable mic. Must have been someone else? I've been meaning to do a Farsi reel, but don't know what to do...commercial, narration, what?

Farsi is spoken in Iran and Afghanistan. It is different than Arabic. More similar to Urdu and even has some French words like thank you means merci. Funny huh? Must have been all the French missionaries over the years. Yes, the hijab is a big issue in Scandinavia.

    All the best,
    Vida
