"Hi Kammy:
I'm using Sony Sound Forge 9.0, which is what the man who visited is familiar with. I didn't like Pro Tools, and Adobe Audition seems to be okay too, but SF is great for those of us who do voice-overs. Good luck to you!!"

  • Hi Rosanne,
I saw your comment on Tech page about problems with your software. I'm currently learning Pro Tools 8, and I must say it's difficult and more than what we need. Which software is the easiest for you to learn and use?

  • Thanks for writing Rosanne...

Even after 40 years in this business, I still have a lot to learn. Believe it or not, I learn a lot of it by helping others. I decided years ago that I would NEVER charge for any services or advice that would help people succeed in this business - and I never will. I'm always glad to help if I can.

I don't profess to "know it all", but am willing to share my knowledge with people that show determination and respect for their craft, and who are also willing to give back to the community. I know how difficult and overwhelming it is, trying to get into this business, and I've been very fortunate to have worked with some of the best. Now it's my turn to try and help others.

This business has been very good to me personally and financially, but in the long run, it's the wonderful people I've been associated with and the friends I've made along the way - not the money, that have made it all worth while. Thanks for your very kind remarks.

As for the equipment...well let's just say I'm sort of a pack rat. I've collected a lot of stuff over the years, and it sometimes comes in handy when I need it. These days though...you don't really need too much equipment. The best equipment you can invest in is within yourself. You're "voice" is who you are, as is your personality. It's how you use it and take care of it. That determines your success or failure - not technology or gimmicks.

    Cheers!
