"Hi Chuck.  Feel free to email me at robscig@usa.net.  Voicing for projects within your industry is going to depend on what your agreement is with your company.  There are no laws against it, per se.  Same goes for the app.  So, if you can give me…"

"NOOO VICTORIA!!!  You should not give exclusivity to any company, unless they are offering a whole lot of money!  That is a very bad idea, and in no way is "normal practice."  I am not sure what you mean by taking classes with a company offering you…"

"Hi Tom. You should think long and hard before giving any "agency" anything but nominal money to represent you. No legitimate agent will ask you to pay THEM to do a demo as that is a conflict of interest, and sounds like a scam.

  • Robert,
read that bit about being able to sue if your voice is impersonated on a commercial. Hmmm, I have seen scripts that say " Like Michael Bell from etc etc ) and utlitmately hear that spot and the guy imitating me and my phrasing.
Was told there was nothing I could do about it.

My good buddy Edie is the voice of Mrs Mendenhoff for years. Very Fargo. Even appeared on many tv shows and commercial as that character.
She was recently replaced by another vo actress in a spot, doing her voice ( on the cheap probably ) but was told by her attorney that she could not sue.

  • Thanks for the add Rob. Emily
  • Hi Rob: In answer to the question about work in NYC. I have only done work out ot my home studio so far. The city is easily accessible to me and I do get there a lot for dining and shows. I had a long sabbatical last year due to breast cancer but, all is OK now. I recently had a great job with the Lionel Train Company. It was great fun. Right now. I am waiting to hear about two scond auditions out of my studio for an acting audio and a radio singing jingle. So, I have had some hits at least. But, it is great to be back. Love this stuff, Carol M. Hahn
