I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor, Copy Writer, Studio Engineer, Creative Director
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
In the early days as a child I mastered how to operate a 45 spindle and the family stereo console. I earned the right to stay up past my bedtime because I learned all my mother's favorite records. Later on, I got the bug to DJ again at a party. I spent a few years as "drummer" in between. In the fall of 1973, I heard this guy named "Scotty" who sounded like a guy on the radio . I liked what heard and said "I can do that". So I started practicing in the basement, and on the third Thursday in October of 73. Reggie Miles made his professional debut.
The first night I performed at the club, I felt I had a "Midas" touch the dance floor stayed packed and the personality that would become legend emerged. I was in control of the party and my voice is what set me apart.
Some 35 years later, I find myself as an assistant professor at Howard University. Where I measure success through the lives that I have changed and impacted by my experience. In addition, I have become an accomplished audio engineer.
Finally when I am in Chicago, I hear compliments and stories about me as a DJ and most satisfying part is to hear any one of the top new "Steppers" DJ's in Chicago say. Yes, I heard about you. You are a Legend.

I know you’ve been a member of Voiceover Universe for some time, but I wanted to introduce one of our groups to you.
I hope you'll check out and join a group called MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT. It's a group dedicated to discussing ways we can market ourselves - what works; what doesn't. You’ll find some very interesting ideas and concepts there! And we would appreciate your input. Click here for the link: MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT!
Thanks for your time! I trust our paths will cross soon!
Best to ya!

I’d like to invite you to join a group I’ve started called “Voices of Colors.” There members offer information and advise each other on navigating this business as people of color. Just go to "forum" (up top), then to "groups," then join "Voices of Colors." Looking forward to hearing of your experiences.
