I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
VOICE-OVER TRAINING
Voice-over techniques studied through private lessons at Chart Productions with Boston radio host Jordan Rich
Workshop presented by radio host Don Nelson.
RELATED BACKGROUND
Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance. I have also studied voice for many years with a prominent Boston area classical singer and perform with a well-known Boston area choral group. I have attended summer chamber music workshops for many years in the U.S., Canada and Italy, where I have performed as a flutist and as a singer. My extensive musical background as a classical singer and flutist has given me a good "ear" for tone quality, pitch, rhythm, phrasing and nuance. As a classically trained singer, my experience in singing in Italian, Spanish, French and German, translates to my ability to read words in these languages.
As a performer, I am often required to address audiences to speak about the music. I have also taught private and group music lessons to children and adults, as well as nature classes to young children. My background in performance, teaching, and involvement in community activities has given me good experience in adjusting my vocal style and presentation, and this experience enhances my ability to give the appropriate voice to a variety of voice-over "audiences."
