I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor, Copy Writer, Studio Engineer, Creative Director, Voiceover Coach
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I have been working as a voice actor and coach for 16+ years in San Diego, CA. My partner, James R. Alburger, and I own VoiceActing.com and The VoiceActing Academy. I am the author of Demo & Marketing Magic for Voice Actors and I am the co-Executive Producer of VOICE, (The VoiceOver International Creative Experience) which is the only convention specifically designed for voice actors.
I am also the VERY proud grandma to three beautiful little girls and one little boy - all under the age of 6. They keep me running, but being a grandma ROCKS! See their pictures below in the slide show! I'm just a "little" proud of them!

Dear Penny:
Thank you so much for taking a little time to wish me a happy birthday... it means a lot coming from someone as busy as you! Here it is 3 days later and I'm just getting around to acknowledging your kind gesture.
I also want to take this opportunity to let you know I listened in on last Monday's teleconference with Joan Baker. It was great. You and James are absolutely fantastic - what you give, share and offer to the VO community is a treasure! You're both exceptional and your warmth is infectious.
Things have been going well for me in my VO work... I'd say a slow but steady stream of small budget and interesting projects with a few better-paying bilingual narration projects thrown in between. I'm still not at a place where I can live off VO but it's a wonderful supplemental and creative income for sure. There's no question that I gained a great deal from last year's conference. This past Jan/Feb I took part in one of Pat Fraley's audio book workshops in San Francisco and am happy to say I have my 1st professionally produced audio book demo. I also have a professionally produced industrial/corporate demo that was completed this past fall through Gabrielle Nistico. So I'm plugging along!
Thanks again Penny for everything!
Big abrazos,
Lina
Thank you for the wonderful welcome Penny! I'll be sure to check out the forums that you mentioned! Have a great day!

Penny,
Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I'm absolutely humbled by the giving-nature of the voice actors on this site and within the industry. I'm still a novice, but with the guidance of seasoned veterans like yourself and others, I'm positive that I'll make a contribution to this beautiful art form.
Regards,
Octavius
