Folks in the VO industry are so incredibly talented, yet unbelievably kind and helpful. I am humbled to be around all of you.
I'm seeking to find a place for me in this industry. At age 61, I've been in broadcasting for 40+ years...both on-air and ad sales. Hopefully I don't have too many bad "announcerish" habits to unlearn.
Being really good in VO is by no means a sure thing or an easy thing. It requires hard work and real talent.
Two guys I knew as co-workers when we were disc jockeys at WCUE Radio in Akron back in the 70's are nationally known VO actors: Ralph Gunderman & Townsend Coleman.
And, Joe Cipriano is a good friend of another former co-worker of mine at Q105 in Tampa back in 1976. I met Joe back then when he vacationed in Tampa & he visited our station.
Working with those two guys, and meeting Joe, way back years ago sure doesn't mean that I belong in VO. But, it is kind of an ironic vibe, don't you think? :)

Thank you for the warm welcome and invite to your group. I noticed you are in the San Diego area. A good friend of mine is the news anchor at KUSI news at 6:00. Alan Denton and I worked together in radio quite a few years ago. My wife and I really love California.
