I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)

HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE

I have been working as a voice actor and coach for 16+ years in San Diego, CA. My partner, James R. Alburger, and I own VoiceActing.com and The VoiceActing Academy. I am the author of Demo & Marketing Magic for Voice Actors and I am the co-Executive Producer of VOICE, (The VoiceOver International Creative Experience) which is the only convention specifically designed for voice actors. I am also the VERY proud grandma to three beautiful little girls and one little boy - all under the age of 6. They keep me running, but being a grandma ROCKS! RECENTLY BOOKED PROJECTS

I've been doing a fair amount of VO work, but starting most of my time recently has been devoted to producing VOICE 2014 which will be held august 27-30th the Anaheim Hilton in the Disneyland Village -in Anaheim, CA. It will be the 5th conference for all voice actors and those who work in the industry - focusing on Education, Technology & Community. There will be 3 full days of learning and making new VO friends! Penny - Thank you SO much for the Happy Birthday wishes. I think this is my year to shine! :) Your story inspires me. I can relate. I'm 42 and have been wanting to do voice work for over ten years. I think I was always too scared. Last year, reading to my then 3-yr old son, I knew this was my calling. I follow all the comments from the PTU members and I'm inspired to stay positive. Thank you, Penny!

Attending VOICE 2010 was by far one of the most profound and intelligent decisions that I've made for the advancement of my career. You and James should be very proud of the extraordinary gathering that the two of you have organized. I was truly fortunate to meet so many wonderful people who did not hesitate to unconditionally offer their wisdom and encouragement. Each of the workshops and seminars that I attended unlocked a wealth of treasures that will serve me well for my entire career and beyond. I hope that you will consider allowing me to volunteer for the next VOICE convention as I believe it's my responsibility to give back to the community that has already give me so very much.
