I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)

HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE

I have been working as a voice actor and coach for 16+ years in San Diego, CA. My partner, James R. Alburger, and I own VoiceActing.com and The VoiceActing Academy. I am the author of Demo & Marketing Magic for Voice Actors and I am the co-Executive Producer of VOICE, (The VoiceOver International Creative Experience) which is the only convention specifically designed for voice actors. I am also the VERY proud grandma to three beautiful little girls and one little boy - all under the age of 6. They keep me running, but being a grandma ROCKS! RECENTLY BOOKED PROJECTS

I've been doing a fair amount of VO work, but starting most of my time recently has been devoted to producing VOICE 2014 which will be held august 27-30th the Anaheim Hilton in the Disneyland Village -in Anaheim, CA. It will be the 5th conference for all voice actors and those who work in the industry - focusing on Education, Technology & Community. There will be 3 full days of learning and making new VO friends! Good morning, Penny. I pass along a much belated "thank you" for welcoming me to VU. I have recently completed my studio which is functional now on a very basic level. I have a ton of questions relating to assembling demos, seeking auditions, pricing per project for voice only versus fully produced, etc. Can you answer questions such as these or steer me in the right direction on the site?

Penny -- thanks for the warm welcome greeting. I've been looking at signing up for AOVA training for a couple of months... When will the 2010 schedule be ready? I'm looking for a weekend freshman course (this Nov is out for me -- mom's visiting...) as soon as possible after the 1st of the year OR if you all are traveling for a weekend course I'd love to jump on-board.
