I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor, Copy Writer, Studio Engineer, Creative Director, Voiceover Coach
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I have been working as a voice actor and coach for 16+ years in San Diego, CA. My partner, James R. Alburger, and I own VoiceActing.com and The VoiceActing Academy. I am the author of Demo & Marketing Magic for Voice Actors and I am the co-Executive Producer of VOICE, (The VoiceOver International Creative Experience) which is the only convention specifically designed for voice actors.
I am also the VERY proud grandma to three beautiful little girls and one little boy - all under the age of 6. They keep me running, but being a grandma ROCKS! See their pictures below in the slide show! I'm just a "little" proud of them!

How sweet of you to welcome me here, and I'll happily accept your invitation to join the Positive Thinkers group! Looking forward to many further chats on VO topics as well as other areas of mutual interest.
All the best,
Gene
Thank so much for the welcome, I appreciate it. It's been fun exploring the site and I've only been here for 1 day. While I'm here I have a quick question or 2. When you had your 1st record where you nervous at all? If so how did you deal with it? Do you have any tips for how to combat being nervous? Breathing techniques? A moment to yourself? etc. I am so ready to take on the world of VO but I don't want to stand in the way of my own success because of nervous energy.
Thanks Again
Stephanie
Take care.
What software program are you using for your voice overs? I am learning ProTools8, and paying a tutor a good amount of money. But it's such a difficult program to learn. Are there any other programs that are easier and just as good, such as Logic?
Thanks,
Kammy
Thanks for taking the time to send a welcome to me. You sent it on Christmas eve, and I just realized that I never returned a comment. This site has already been very helpful to me as I try to re-establish a "voice" career. Happy to be part of the community.

Talk to you soon.
Cheers!!
I haven't been a round. Just on the run all the time. I am getting ready to purchase your and Mr. Alburger's book. I am a career change lady who has started acting, but then I stumbled into voice acting like so many. If you don't mind me asking what would be the 1st thing you'd suggest to a new comer?
Thanks for your time.
Best,
Neen
