I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor, Copy Writer, Studio Engineer, Creative Director, Voiceover Coach
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I have been working as a voice actor and coach for 16+ years in San Diego, CA. My partner, James R. Alburger, and I own VoiceActing.com and The VoiceActing Academy. I am the author of Demo & Marketing Magic for Voice Actors and I am the co-Executive Producer of VOICE, (The VoiceOver International Creative Experience) which is the only convention specifically designed for voice actors.
I am also the VERY proud grandma to three beautiful little girls and one little boy - all under the age of 6. They keep me running, but being a grandma ROCKS! See their pictures below in the slide show! I'm just a "little" proud of them!

Thanks for the welcome...I'm still learning the site, but will definitely check out your Positive Thinkers group. I could use more of that in my life. I take it you never discuss the economy? lol
Will check in soon...thanks again!

Hi Penny-
You really made my day!
I would be honored for you to use my demo in your class...very cool!
Thats great that you've been to my little town of Bend. My wife and I moved here from San Diego 6 years ago to start a family, and so far its been wonderful (fond memories of So-Cal too)
I imagine Dick Orkin is probably a fun interview...I'd love to get inside that man's brain for just a little while!
Got your other invitation to join your group and I'm on my way the moment I finish sending this.
In regards to the copywriting...double wow! I'd love for you to check out some samples...so I've attached a few here.
Take care, and see you in the positive!

Love the fishy slippers in the photos, by the way!! - d.

Thanks for the welcome. I am looking forward to further development of my voice over skills and thier use. I happened to stumble upon Voiceover Universe while surfing the web. Would you mind sharing how you have found Voiceover Universe useful? Like many others, my time is often so limited. My hope is to get more insight into furthering my experience. I have experienced projects in a fairly broad range, from a marketing company in Denmark to local radio commercials for a client of my business consulting service. Rising above the fray seems to be the central issue I am facing. I appreciate your initial contact.
Thanks

I can't believe I've gotten an email from you!
(was that a bit over the top?...okay, I'll pull back)
One of the first books I picked up (and still look thru from time to time) is "The Art of Voice Acting"! You guys do really cool stuff down there!...please tell Mr. Alburger I'm a gigantic fan (I got a Neti Pot, and still do the cork warm-up everyday!)
Besides voiceover, I also do quite alot of copywriting which I am a huge fan of Roy Williams, Dick Orkin, etc...THE GREATS.
Anyway, thank you for the warm and unexpected welcome.
I will check out the positive thinkers group for sure, and I would also like to know how to go about getting a professional voiceover assessment.
Cheers!
-Paul
(wow...I still can't believe this...I'm like a kid in a candy store!)
I will check out your group. Thanks. Frankie
