I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)

HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE

I have been working as a voice actor and coach for 16+ years in San Diego, CA. My partner, James R. Alburger, and I own VoiceActing.com and The VoiceActing Academy. I am the author of Demo & Marketing Magic for Voice Actors and I am the co-Executive Producer of VOICE, (The VoiceOver International Creative Experience) which is the only convention specifically designed for voice actors. I am also the VERY proud grandma to three beautiful little girls and one little boy - all under the age of 6. They keep me running, but being a grandma ROCKS! RECENTLY BOOKED PROJECTS

I've been doing a fair amount of VO work, but starting most of my time recently has been devoted to producing VOICE 2014 which will be held august 27-30th the Anaheim Hilton in the Disneyland Village -in Anaheim, CA. It will be the 5th conference for all voice actors and those who work in the industry - focusing on Education, Technology & Community. There will be 3 full days of learning and making new VO friends! You know, I didn't think so, but I had a friend with the same name who did work on radio in San Diego a few years ago - so thought I'd ask. She's also a very talented voice artist. I hope I'll get to meet you sometime soon. Denver is also a old stoppin' ground for me. We lived there from 1980 to 1990.

Hi, Penny! No, I never worked in San Diego...but I would have loved it if I did! :) My radio romps have been in Kansas City, Dallas, San Antonio, Denver, and Miami. But now I'm trying to do "real" work on the microphone...LOL :) Nice to meet you!

You know, my partner, James' publisher is in the process of putting together a European book tour. Their home office is in London so we might just get to do a workshop there as well! (If you don't know, James is the author of The Art of Voice Acting.)
