I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
(from bio) Starting as an actor in New York, Paul Pape got his break when he was cast to co-star in "Saturday Night Fever". With nearly 6000 voice-over credits alone in his 34 year career, Paul has been heard in almost every form of media; including commercials, narrations, promos & trailers, animated features, television series, feature films, movies of the week and video games. He is considered one of the leading voices in the ADR field (Automated Dialogue Replacement), having worked on over 120 television series and many of the biggest blockbuster movies of recent years. Video game powerhouse Electronic Arts gave Paul an award for both his voice-over and on-camera performance in "Black", a #1 video game that has sold over two million copies in the U.S. and Britain. Other recent credits include promos for President Obama and the Democratic National Committee, the Starz Channel, Fox Sports Network and HBO, as well as narrations for industrial clients such as Raytheon and the Boeing Corporation. Paul was honored to narrate a video for the Hollywood Reporter Key Art Awards when they presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to his best friend, the late Don LaFontaine, at the Kodak Theater. In addition to doing voice-over work, Paul serves on the Board of Directors of the Screen Actors Guild Foundation. Having conceived the idea to build the Don LaFontaine Voice-over Lab, he was joined in the effort by fellow co-founders Joe Cipriano and George Whittam. Located at the Foundation's Actors Center in Los Angeles, the Lab opened in June of 2010.

Comments
I really enjoyed the promo panel at VOICE. It is nice to see your presence on Rick' s site.
Thanks for the reply and YES - i had the pleasure of interviewing Billy a few times during my radio days.....and party with him (unfortunately) only once. But it was a GREAT party. The birthday for another Aussie Rocker that spent many years in the states - you might know him too....Brian Cadd.
Billys loss has been felt here as well. In fact - one of the syndication companies put together a brilliant tribute to him - and one of the radio networks i work closely with did another - better - one. If you want i could see if i could get a copy for you....if you dont already have them.
He remains now - the legend we was when alive.... and his music is timeless. My 19yo daughter was in the car with me the other day when "most people i know" came on and she rocked out to it. She even thought it could be some new band/song..LOL...Brilliant stuff.
Look forward to catching up again
