I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
Professionally it all started for me in 1991. I got a very lucky break and started presenting on Power FM at the tender age of 16. I knew I had extreme pressure on my shoulders as I had to prove my worth as one of the youngest broadcasters ever. I moved around the country to gain new skills at fantastic radio stations like Horizon Radio, Chiltern, TFM, Galaxy 105 - finally returning ‘down south’ to 95.8 Capital FM in 2003. I was the first dj in over 10 years to be placed straight into the daytime schedule, presenting the prestigious afternoon show.
As Capital was going through some major restructuring in 2005 I found myself taking a contract with Heart 106.2.
This turned out to be the best move I ever made as after a takeover by Global Radio, under the guidance of the ‘world’s best’ programmer - Richard Park, I’m now simulcast across 42 stations on the newly created Heart Network. (Feb 09)
My voice is also used on many TV shows and ad’s. If you watched Britain’s Got Talent in 2008 (14 million people did) you will have heard my tones! I also specialise in voice overs for the live event sector, voicing over 40 ceremonies a year.
I love my gadgets, my Mac’s and my wife and son. Obviously not in that order. I’m a professional who never lets his guard down when it comes to quality. I strive for the best and am only happy when my clients are happy.
In 2009 I have already booked projects with Haymarket Publishing, William Reed Business Media, The Arqiva Awards, mmi broadcasting, Global Radio, Sir Philip Green & The Retail Trust.
I look forward to speaking with you soon and helping you to enhance your next project with my voice over or presenting skills.

So what you're saying is that you can use SC on a different software than ProTools now? I guess that is the stand alone "thingy" I read about somewhere... However I don't think I'm going to buy anything before I'm starting to see a lot of projects not going my way because of the lack of it.
I have however been sending demos out to different foreign agencies - and many of them asks if have SC or ISDN, which I also don't have, but I don't really know if that's just a standard question. But you have ISDN right? Do you use it often? whats the price for both Source Connect or an ISDN codec if you happen to know?
Well, life's pretty cool. Right now I'm just waiting to get the children out of here so I can start working on an e-learning project I'm supposed to voice this weekend. Not really something I look forward to with my soar throat, but that's life :-)
What about yourself? Life and business treating you well?
I see we share the same background - on-air personality turns to voiceover.
Like your voice - and looks like you have a rather high-end studio there... any chance to see pics of it? The studio I mean :-)
I have a lovely life here and travel home often. i live near the ocean and do my voiceovers at home or at my agent's. I also have rental properties
