I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
Michalla (mee-shay-la), a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, started her craft professionally at an early age. After demonstrating a fascination with television, commercials and movies, her mother decided to put her in a performing arts school where she could channel her inner drama queen! She studied and worked both theatrically and commercially in the Twin Cities area and signed with some of the top agents. She continued acting while studying drama at The University of Minnesota until she relocated to Los Angeles, CA to pursue her passion for acting.
She has worked for some of the industries leading companies, such as: McDonald’s, Target, Walmart, Mattel, General Foods (Kraft), Best Buy, JcPenny, Direct TV, TV ONE, Take Two Interactive, Mahala (an Atlanta based Tech Company) and many more which now encompass the body of her work. These opportunities would catapult her into her dream career field, and she has not looked back since. Michalla has enjoyed a wide array of acting opportunities (including, but not limited to, over forty film and television projects); however, none quite as challenging (yet exciting) as being able to portray a wide array of characters all within in a day's work! Hence, the wonderful world of voice over!
Michalla was first introduced to the VO industry after voicing four different characters for a Brazilian soap opera. She proclaims that, "After that job...it was love at first sight!" She then decided to take classes at the Groundlings Theatre, continue her study with private instructors, Kalmenson & Kalmenson, Susan Blu Animation (Cynthia Sonje’) and join several (ADR) loop groups. She later enlisted the help of an agent and added commercial and animation VO to her professional career. She is currently represented by William Morris Endeavor, Beverly Hills (WME).
Michalla brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and excitement to the VO profession; yet according to her colleagues, it is her strong work ethic, creativity, consistency, range of talent, sense of humor, professionalism, humility and her ability to shine from the inside out, that make her a joy to work with!
