I’d like to invite you to join a group I’ve started called “Voices of Colors.” There members offer information and advise each other on navigating this business as people of color. Just go to "forum" (up top), then to "groups," then join "Voices of Colors." Looking forward to hearing of your experiences.
All the best and continued success.
Mike
I would call them and find out who is the person in charge of their trailers and then send him/her an email with a video link to your recent work, and contact info. Tell them that you do scratch auditions from your home studio. All you want is to get in the door to do scratch auditions. Once you reach that person, send a handwritten card thanking them for their time, and reminding them that you look forward to doing some scratch auditions for them. Soon, some of them will book. Then you get your agent involved to negotiate the rate for you. Don't quote them any fees, just say "my agent handles all that for me." If you are in Atlanta, schedule a visit with that person in their office. Next time after that meeting, invite them out for lunch. Become their friend.
I wish you the best!!
