I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor, Copy Writer, Studio Engineer
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I started doing public speaking at the age of 5 when the nuns would put me up in front of the church every week. I entered as many speech competitions as I could and now have a huge box of dusty, first-place trophies in the basement. I did win a few scholarships to help kickstart my running off to Emerson College.
At Emerson I was interested in Sports Casting (I just wanted to be a commentator for the Boston Celtics) but I fell in love with a recording studio and a mic closet and, eventually a boy. I worked on-air for a couple of years and recorded as many bands as I could all while voice over gigs started to fall into my lap.
Now I have over 11 years of experience doing voice overs for broadcast and non-broadcast. I'm the voice of Travelocity, and do lots of work for Cox Communications, ADP Blockbuster and more. In 2000 my husband and I started Dandysound, a recording and production studio.
I still love the Celtics and have season tickets. I also teach yoga because it helps me save the world one asana at a time.
