I just use the AIFF setting on my RecorderPro. Obviously the file is larger, but it works great in a pinch. I've never had a client complain about it, especially since they know it's not my normal way of sending them stuff.
BTW, another way I've started using it is to record sound effects. When I hear a sound that I think I might use...or want in my sound library...it works great for that!
