I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)

Voice Actor

HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE

Newbee. I had the honor of having a couple of pre-recordings aired on Public Television during a charity auction after serving an internship and then 5 years of interim work and VoluntEARS work for the Studios Department. Mostly have worked behind the camera, but also teleprompter, lighting, studio make-up, Cryon Display and Trainee Studio Floor Manager. Would like to see the business from the other side of the camera. Really got the bug and started buying books, CD's, etc about character voice-overs and voice development. Currently work as a Travel Consultant for Disneyland Paris speaking to guests from the UK, Scotland and Wales, as well as other English speaking countries.

RECENTLY BOOKED PROJECTS

Nothing booked that pays to date. However, I have a voice-over reading and a screen test tomorrow for some instructional training segments for the Disney Reservation Department. Wish me luck. UPDATE: 9/22 Had the read-thru this morning for several in-house castmember scenerios for training...Friday is the real deal! (Since I am an employee, without pay, but great experience and I hope to get copies to use snippetts for my CD!

VOICE DESCRIPTION

My normal voice is pitched below the norm compared to most woman. I am from the Midwest of Kansas City, Missouri so do not really have any natural accent. However, much of my family is from the Ozark Hills and Arkansas so I can slide into these quite easily. I am very versatile with low and high pitches in talking, yelling and laughing. From good sweet voices to evil cackling voices and laughter. Soft, midrange or Very Loud. Nasal, lisp, slur, throaty, very deep and chesty, monotone, whiney, cheerful, conservative, bored, antagonistic, angry, and apathetic. I whistle songs very well. I sing too, but learn songs from hearing them more than from reading music.

DIALECTS, Character voices and vocal impressions
