"Bryan, It never hurts to add a slight bit of compression like 2 to one in order to stand out from the crowd. More useful for commercials but if you don't overdo it, it's a good idea.  Make sure you listen again once compressed to eliminate noise…"

"Another quick note about demos.   For the most part, demos are used to get your foot into an agent's door, for a profile on Voice 123 or other pay to play sites and I know some people say they get jobs from people listening to their demos, but that…"

  • Hi Lani, and thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I will definitely work on your suggestions. I really appreciate your expert opinion. Have a great day!
  • Hi, Lani! I saw your post on my friend Josh's page. I've done trailers but I would love to get into character-work. I did the videogame trailer for Spectrobes: Origins for the Wii, but that's the closest to being in a videogame I've gotten. :D I've had my hands full with commercial work, but my heart of hearts is character voices. Haven't done a character demo yet but I most likely will have to stay with commercials until I'm a SAG member. I'm just doing free-lance non-union work right now. Been keeping in touch with Bob though... he's a great help. Anyways, all the best! Hope you can drop me a line sometime!
  • Hi Lani- boy if I had a hat like that ....I wouldn't need any hair, or sunscreen. We finally get to see you. Wonderful !!! Take care you Mega Talented Lady. -Barry
  • Ooops... Let's try again... ! Hello Lani, Finally put some demos up on my page. Just wanted to say hello!

  • Lani, thank you so much for welcoming me to VU and giving me some things to think about. Sorry this is a delayed response- am just getting used to all these new forums etc and do not have too much time to catch up on them all. I will certainly keep you in mind for some extra ideas etc.. Do please keep me in mind too for that good old BBC British accent. I also do a pretty good French accent used to live in Juan les Pins for awhile. eh bien, a toute a l'heure! Jenny D
  • Hi Lani! I reallly appreciate your comments about my work. Your variety of voices seem to have no boundaries. Let's keep in touch.

  • Hey Lani! Buongiorno! Thank you so much for your message and good wishes. I am very active in video games too, only - of course - in Italian! (I am the Italian voice of a lot of AAA videogames including Wii Fit, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Hello Pocoyo, Singularity, etc. etc.). I absolutely love your work! And I would be delighted to work with you sooner or later! Maybe when you need a voice with a genuine native Italian accent for one of your game projects give me a shout! By the way, I would have bet on your Italian roots with your surname! ;-) Thanks again Lani! I'll join your groups and hope our paths will cross soon! Ciao! All the best, Giovanni
