I know you’ve been a member of Voiceover Universe for some time, but I wanted to introduce one of our groups to you.
I hope you'll check out and join a group called MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT. It's a group dedicated to discussing ways we can market ourselves - what works; what doesn't. You’ll find some very interesting ideas and concepts there! And we would appreciate your input. Click here for the link: MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT!
Thanks for your time! I trust our paths will cross soon!
Best to ya!

Now I remember why I hate driving to my agent from the OC...%@$#$#
Had a great audition....good to see everyone....flirt with all the girls....and GO HOME. I use Sound Forge 8 and Mixcraft as a multi-track studio.
I'ts really a good feeling when your agent tells you...they want to keep you as long as you want to stay with them....a really good feeling.
I'm going to buy this VO book by Rodney Saulsberry......looks like it may be good.
Be good to you Kammy,
Michael
Looks like you've already gotten quite a bit of advice about recording equipment, but it you'd like to speak with Jim Alburger (my partner and the author of The Art of VoiceActing - also an Emmy winning sound designer) just give us a call. He's much more well versed in recording equipment than I am. We use Sony Vegas Video for all our audio projects.
Best of luck to you!

Sound Studio software program from Apple is less than $100! Hey, I can'y believe you have an 18 year old. Our youngest daughter turned 21 today!

First off, Happy Valentine's Day ...
OK, I have Sound Studio which is totally user friendly and a piece of cake overall .... the quality is awesome. As a matter of fact, listen to my trailer demo ... it's the way to go ....
Best,
David Marc
I'm using Sony Sound Forge 9.0, which is what the man who visited is familiar with. I didn't like Pro Tools, and Adobe Audition seems to be okay too, but SF is great for those of us who do voice-overs. Good luck to you!!
--or-- you could record on a remote digital recorder and process it as a mass storage device.
You might want to consult with someone local who could help you set it up.
I use Goldwave version 5.25 and Cooledit 2.1 (currently Adobe audition) as my main editing software --- and have audacity - mainly as a standby and converter from analog to digital.
Pro tools is a highly effective program, but way too much for editing voice tracks -- like squashing a big with a steam roller.
I like your head shot.

Congratulations on pursuing the Dream. Stay positive!
Peace and Joy...
