    Thanks for contributing to the discussion. The "Great" George Whittman clued me into the use of Normalize to -3 dB for the reason you suggest - consistent gain levels on demos. I can use the compressor on my DBX 286A Pre/Proc for a "produced" track or just deliver a dry take for post processing/mix. Again thanks for sharing your experience with VU!

    Jonathan: Thought it would be interesting to collect the top recommended Pro Tools plug-ins used by voiceover home studio users. My list would include: BNR, Normalize, and EQ 3. When you are putting your money where your mouth is, what plug-ins add real value? Share and enjoy! Al
