"Also Gary, unless you're just wanting to use the DBX for the processing, the Focurite Scarlett preamps might be better than what's in the DBX. Maybe some folks can chime in on this."

What Mike said. Just make sure it'll work with your operating system."

"Hi Gary,
Yes, you'll either need an interface or soundcard. The DBX can't interface into a computer alone."

"Some don't value you it until THEY try it. I've experienced that several times over the years. Once they step into our shoes, they realize that what we do involves more than just talking and collecting a check!
Good luck to you Alexis!!"

Alexis, $11 a WORD isn't bad!

I've never used Cubase and I'm pretty sure you have the manual, but just in case you don't, here's a link to it.

Happy Birthday to you too!
We've had snow pretty much all week here. I was able to make it in to the radio station today to voice track. So I knocked out a couple of days while I was at it.

  • Michael,
On the demos I'm using a GML 2032. For the long form work I do, I get copy changes sometimes a year or longer after the initial recording, so I wanted something that wouldn't drift (sound wise) like tubes tend to do. Make no mistake, I really liked the Voxbox too, but for what I do I'm happier with the George Massenburg unit.
