I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I started in radio and moved into voice overs while gradually phasing out my on air gig. My first big break was after moving to Los Angeles in the early 80's and voicing the trailers for early teen movies such as Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Porkys and others. The huge break happened 20 years ago this August when a little upstart network called, Fox hired me as their promo voice. Since then, I've primarily worked in promo for Fox, CBS, NBC and ABC. I voice syndication packages for network shows going into reruns and first run syndication as well. I'm proud to be a part of some pretty cool Live TV events like the Emmys and Grammys and I work as an in-show announcer for programs like Deal or No Deal, Extreme Makeover Home Edition and so on. I also am the image voice for local radio and TV stations around the country. All of that takes up about an hour a day. So, pretty much I'm bored the rest of the day and that's why Rick said why don't you start "Ask Joe."

Ash got rave notices for her recent appearance at the Colony Theatre in Voice of the Prairie. Played 3 roles and was lauded in the LA TIMES, BACKSTAGE WEST and STAGE MAG.
Great way to start a career.
I am living vicariously. I like it. More, more!

I love being in better shape then him. It levels the playing field since his brain is in better shape then mine.
I love the comparison to PCH. Talk about lousy shoulders.

Yes, sometimes my Mom would call it "gravy." mmmm...the smell of those meatballs and sauce simmering away all day ... yummm. :-)
Thanks for the add.
Just gotta ask.... Do you call it "spaghetti sauce" or "gravy"? Or maybe you're hardcore and call it "sugo"?
Best to you!!!
Thanks for the kind words. I have seen that MASH re run recently and wonder who that kid with all that hair is.
Love the group picture of you and the Gambino family.
Can you get me a Sony PMWex1? I wanna make movies.
Really jazzed to hear from you. I love being known by talented people. If my rocks had dropped like they should have, I might be announcing the awards like you. However, I am still stuck in the warm zone, like an aged Mel Torme, and getting warmer.
Talk to you again soon. In the meantime, if you haven't already been there, go to unionunderground.org and take a gander at a couple of short short films I produced. I also wrote the one called " GOT WORK". Working on more. Ya never know, I might be calling you to shlep a reflector, hold a boom and record a voice....all at the same time.
