HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE

Just in this decade, Jennifer Vaughn has completed voice-overs on an astonishing variety of projects, ranging from commercial to documentary, and television/radio promo signature work, to tutorials for leading/top Fortune 100 companies in the world. Lending herself as a promo voice for NBC Today Show, HBO, and Discovery Channel, and the documentary narrator for motivational speaker Tony Robbins, as well as wildlife series, “Discover the Wild”, in addition to the voice of hundreds of tutorials for American Express, AT&T, Johnson & Johnson, Adobe, and Marriott to again name the very few clients she’s had the pleasure of being the primary voice of, she also continues to work on medical/pharmaceutical narration training for both the US military and collegiate universities and books, a very difficult feat at best. Commercial Broadcast work is just as impressive, with the likes of Eureka Vacuums, Lysol, Nabisco and Royal Caribbean. However, she is most well-known for being the leading voice/authority on female voice talent in the industry of Radio and Television affiliate Imaging/Branding. That is, signature voice talent for the branding of radio and television stations all across the globe in almost every country, continent and format. Radio and Television stations, those who retain her services on an exclusive and monthly basis account for about 50% of her current daily clientele, with 20% narration in tutorials/training/documentary/audio-books, 10% commercial, 10% character/animation/gaming and 5% in telephony/IVR applications. The more unique projects have been the voice of a GPS navigational system which took two years to complete and required over 120,000 phrases in which a phonetic key for reading was required to learn, a phonetic that is foreign to any standard dictionary. Vaughn indicated: “the text was not English, it was a new language of mathematics that I had to learn in order to properly speak for a highly intuitive computer system.” Not a job for an ordinary voice talent. With home studios in both Florida (her winter home) and Colorado (her summer home), plus interests in other businesses, she is real “go-getter.”

Both studios are completely packed to the gills with the equipment she trusts and has had most of her experience with (her manager advises her every year to keep current) over her career which includes: (4) mics- Rhode NT1 & NT2, Neumann TLM103 and a Neumann U87. (4) outboard compressors/gates/processors (Symetrix, FocusRite, TC Gold Channel, & Distressor), 5 ProTools rigs, one operating on the latest and greatest IMAC Desktop Macintosh (pictured), the Panther Mac Laptop, IMAC Desktop-last year’s model (pictured), and one G3, one G4, and one G5 (pictured)…all are working on several interfaces depending on the time it came out including: the AudioMedia III card for the oldest (yes it still works perfectly), the digi-001, the M-box, and now the digi-003. Monitors include Roland’s, Mackie’s and Alesis’s. Five pairs of cans are floating around depending on the nature of the project. There’s a Telos phone patch for regular telephony patches and a Telos Zephyr for ISDN. The boards in the studios include one SoundCraft, one Allen & Heath (the Brits know that one), and 3 Mackie’s (2 are used as her portable rigs). She uses only the best Mogami cabling, not to mention all of the gear that really doesn’t add to her sound but definitely is required to be a big leaguer. CD burners, cassette decks, DAT machine, mini player, archival drives, 2 indexing cd players, 4 amplifiers, backs ups, surge protectors, routers, etc…etc…etc..
