I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
Hello all, I'm looking forward to meeting you.
I reside in Fairfield County Connecticut at The Cottage On The Rocks with my faithful canine companions (2 cocker spaniels Ace and KC & the boxer Makita). I support many charitable organizations by donating a portion of all my voiceover proceeds to organizations such as The ASPCA, Ability Beyond Disability, PETA, The United Way, Joel Osteen Ministries and many others.
My training started with my now friend and mentor Don Morrow, (the voice of Titanic and many many more). I continued training with the very talented Joan Baker. I've attended classes with Katherine Ryan of Don Buchwald and Associates, one on one training with a variety of seasoned Actors at New York City's Edge Studios as well as vocal and speech classes with Jessica Kiljowski at Sam Chwat's NY Speech Improvement. I have performed & rehearsed thousands of scripts with genre ranging from Movie trailers, promo's, biographies, sports promo's, news promo's, narratives, commercials, video game trailers and radio imaging. Don and my other Coaches passed on the secrets of finding the right character and acting behind the microphone, "Don, Joan, Katherine, Jay and the others for all your help, wisdom & encouragement I am eternally grateful and I could not have asked for a better Mentors & Coaches".
My Agent contact information in LA is Shane Cormier of Idiom Talent and I am currently seeking Management and Agent representation in New York & Chicago.
I record with top of the line equipment in my professional and private studio (OTR) On The Rocks Studios, installed and monitored by Christopher Brown a legend in production & studio design, "Chris I also am very grateful to have you on my team, Thank You"

As far as the Whisper Room versus Vocal Booth (.com), I did do some research. I felt the Vocal Booth was a better deal and offered what I needed. If you're going to have some noise in your new location, I would recommend a Vocal Booth. You could start out with a Port-A-Booth like Harlan Hogan offers on his website and see if that will do the trick. It will isolate the mic and sounds great in low noise environments. However I went with the Vocal Booth because it keeps out everything from my wife's hairdryer, to my barking dogs and even planes flying overhead (we live on an approach route to the airport), so I thought it was best for me. They ship it right to your door via freight and with two people, it really does take only a half hour to set up, just like they say. I'm at VOICE 2008 right now and they have one set up here for us to use. Very cool. Best of luck. Please keep in touch and let me know what you decide to do and how it works out. Cheers, Dustin
