  • George...I left this question in one of the othe groups and I was hping you can aswer it...thx.. (:

Hola everyone...Since we are in the subject of Audacity...I am a newbee with my own little set up. I have a RodeNT1A, Emu1616m, and a PC with an Intel Core2 Duo processor. I use Audacity not just because of the great price as you have mentioned but for the user friendliness it offers. Now...My questions, for those of you that have used Audacity in the past, are these...

1- After you record you audio what is the best way to audit it? Do you use the Amplification or the Normalize tab?
2- Where should the sound wave amplitude be at the lowest and highest point? + or - 1 or 2 decibals from 0? etc. to ensure that the sound is loud enough to listen.
3- Do you use any of the other tools to tweak the sound?
4- When recording music on the VO, do you play the music at the same time in a different track while recording or do you just added it later?

I know I am asking a lot but since you guys are like the most awesome people in the most awesome business, in the most awesome VO website...well..I know you can help me.. (: ha ha
