I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I am a board certified Otolaryngologist who chose a career in professional voice care as an extension of my two passions. A graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine, I completed a research fellowship at the National Institute on Deafness and Communication Disorders as well as a clinical fellowship at the Vanderbilt Voice Center. I am also an accomplished musician who plays trombone, bassoon and piano. While an undergraduate at Yale University, I was a member of a capella singing groups and directed the Yale Gospel Choir. I have lent my Baritone voice to musical theatre, various choirs and I continue to use the first instrument, voice. My personal experiences and education are employed to address the problems of performing artists and other voice professionals. The Chicago Institute for Voice Care is dedicated to increasing the awareness of the unique issues faced by performing artists and providing comprehensive care.
I’d like to invite you to join a group I’ve started called “Voices of Colors.” There members offer information and advise each other on navigating this business as people of color. Just go to "forum" (up top), then to "groups," then join "Voices of Colors." Looking forward to hearing of your experiences.
I know you’ve been a member of Voiceover Universe for some time, but I wanted to introduce one of our groups to you.
I hope you'll check out and join a group called MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT. It's a group dedicated to discussing ways we can market ourselves - what works; what doesn't. You’ll find some very interesting ideas and concepts there! And we would appreciate your input. Click here for the link: MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT!
Thanks for your time! I trust our paths will cross soon!
Best to ya!
