Well, Greg, my good fortune as a producer has given me access to some very talented people-- and the opportunity to listen, learn and grow. Finding your voice and knowing your audience (programmers) are crucial elements. Like any other business avenue, it takes time and the willingness to reach out even when you're not getting something back... which may take you into directions you'd never considered.
I'm a lifelong singer and musician and also have been doing music production for many years.
