I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor, Copy Writer
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
Been in radio 39 years (still going strong, on-air every day), and a VO for six. I do lots of narrations, DVD and web, but also radio and TV.
RECENTLY BOOKED PROJECTS
Recent: BASF, Soulfood Serbia, UCLA, Steel documentary, Canadian Geographic, Pepsi, Kraft, Shimano, Alcatel Lucent, World Vision, National Book Awards, Wealth Magazine, City of Hamilton. Have done work in the past for Symantec, Nestle, The Little Gym, Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto), The American Cancer Society, Daman Port (Saudi Arabia), Bandag International, Amgen
Deep, rich, boomy but not naturally loud. Great at laid-back, soft-sell, guy-next-door, non-announcer type. But I also have power and can rock.
DIALECTS, Character voices and vocal impressions
Not that many. But I can do a great old guy, superhero, nerd, cowboy, I do a mean pirate (arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr).
VOICES I AM ABLE TO PERFORM
Senior Male, Middle Age Male, Young Adult Male
AUDIO DELIVERY METHOD
FTP, AIF, MP3, WAV
Neumann U87ai (vintage 1988) and Sennheiser MKH 416 shotgun into John Hardy M-1 mic pre to Universal Audio 6176 (1176) limiter straight to Lynx L-22 DI (no mixer). Mobile studio features Harlan Hogan VO 1A condenser and Shure SM7B Dynamic into Grace M101 Pre and FMR RNC compressor to Roland UA4X with noise gate. Current software Adobe Audiiton 1.5. Also a Presonus VXP box I use as a paperweight. I tell my friends I'm in the closet because I am, but the fan noise is somewhere else, so I have a dead-quiet space. Current mics: U87Ai (circa 1988, primary), Sennheiser MKH 416, Studio Projects B3 condenser, VO-1A from Harlan Hogan, Shure SM7B dynamic.
