I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I have been podcasting since 2006. My passion is sharing science and ideas with a world-wide audience. My Brain Science Podcast has been on the iTunes Feature page for medicine since the spring of 2007. I also founded http://sciencepodcasters.org in 2008 and we are actively recruiting science podcasters. My particular talent is explaining complex ideas in a clear concise manner. enjoy interviewing scientists and physicians and helping them share their work with a wider audience. (I help them translate it into normal English!)
RECENTLY BOOKED PROJECTS
I recently recorded a chapter for an upcoming audio version of a book about dog rescue from http://happytailsbooks.com/.
My voice has a medium pitch. My accent is an unusual mixture of Seattle and the south because I was born in Seattle and have spent most of my life in Alabama. Non-southerners tend to think I have a southern accent, but people in Alabama always ask me where I am from. My international listeners say that my slightly slow speaking pace helps their comprehension of English. I am 55 and my voice sounds like an adult.
