I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I have had formal training in both commercial and narration voiceover at the Denver Center Theatre Academy, including private coaching and intensive workshops in audio narration with Robin Miles and New York’s Marla Kirban and Bruce Kronenberg. I am also a regular audio narrrator for the Denver Chapter for the Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic.
After arriving from across 'the pond', I spent six years in New York City (before starting a family) working for esteemed corporations and non-profits, such as WNET PBS, organizing a continuum of fundraising and promotional special events. I am a genuine enthusiast of the creative process and am elated to bring it to the Commercial and Narration voice over markets.
RECENTLY BOOKED PROJECTS
TV Commercials for multiple Florida International Boat Shows, Radio spots for Little Caesars Pizza, Corporate Video for IBM, Crocs, Pampers, documentary for Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Announcer for Denver 303 Hair Show Awards, Corporate Training for Smith System and Exxon Mobil, On hold messaging for numerous doctors, dentists, cosmetic surgeons, medical spas, vets etc. for Commercials On Hold, Explainer video for California Transportation Department
VOICE DESCRIPTION
Native British Accent, Age Range 35-55.
Rather than a typical ‘stiff upper lip’ my accent is softened by my warm and comforting ‘ever so slight’ Northern lilt. I have been described as: refined, upscale, sophisticated, posh, luxurious/regal, articulate, educated, well-travelled, worldly, detailed, precise and matter of fact, trustworthy and reassuring. A deeper resonance lends itself well for a sultry and sensual sound.
DIALECTS, Character voices and vocal impressions
Patsy 'airheaded' Cockney, Sharon (sharp tongued Mancunian,) Jo down to earth Northern lass, Stella - wannabe 'Lady of the Manor' and Ms. Roach, Scottish (think Prime of Miss Jean Brody).

As another ex-pat Brit, welcome to VU!!!
Since we've been Facebook friends for a while you may recall I travelled in the opposite direction and am in Istanbul, Turkey. VU is a very different animal from FB however, and I'm sure you'll find it a great home for all things VU. Glad to see you've already found Penny's PTU group. There's also a rather quieter group for expats here http://www.voiceoveruniverse.com/group/expatvoices - come along and liven us up!!!
