  • Thanks for responding, Frank.
I'm in Bushwick right now. What I'd like to do soon is take some acting and improv classes and then eventually move on to private VO coaching with the intention to improve technique and eventually record a demo. I can't just get by on raw talent alone.

I record all the time though just to get familiar with reading copy in front of a mic. After the tracks are done they're sent to some of my friends. I figured that by connecting with some Voice actors here I can most likely receive some better feedback. I'd love to send you some tracks if you're up for it. If you have any yourself that you'd like to share, feel free to do so at anytime. I'm an absolute newbie but I think it'd be great to network with people who have the same goals.
  • Hey Frank,

I'm also from Brooklyn and I had this idea a while back to try and connect with other aspiring voice actors in NYC. I thought it'd be beneficial to have some sort of support network where we can encourage each other on this journey. Reply back if you this to be something you'd like to be a part of. You can also check out the Spanish PSA I put up on my page too.

  • Happy Birthday Frank! I hope you are having a wonderful day!
  • Hi Frank:

In honor of your birthday, I sat down and wrote you a
song. Here are the lyrics . . . .”This is your Birthday Song,
    It isn’t very long . . . “ And many more . . . !

  • Happy Summer Frank,
Welcome to VU. You're in good company here!

I wish you the best of success in all your adventures! I'd love you to join my group Ask a Casting Director. There's a lot of useful info that might help you there.

I'm a Casting Director and experienced actor (4 octave range) for Video Games and more. It's a unique genre, unlike any other that requires a lot of differentiation in voices because there are so many parts with so few lines each. It requires a huge vocal repertoire. If you feel you're experienced as a voice actor with a lot of diverse and useable characters, and you can hit the ground running, you can go to my Talent Assessment page. Classes and coaching links are also there, if you'd like more instant help to get where you need to be to land those jobs.

    Stay Super!
