Hi Eric,
Thanks for the comment on the Skype session. The audio feed to the client is only via microphone, Which ever one you designate on the computer hosting Skype, in this case it was the mic on the camera. As you can hear when I am speaking at the beginning of the video it's sounds okay... the client can hear what I am doing well enough.
Skype can not be used as a substitute for ISDN or Source Connect. It is great if a client wants to direct the session, though. In this case, they are only listening for performance not sonic quality. Once we have a take everyone is happy with, I then send the audio file over Skype or by email just so they can hear it properly in the studio they are occupying.
If all is cool, I then clean up the recording and make any edits required and send off the finished VO.
