Best Regards,
On a way to audition or convince a station to use you???????
Over the years most of the stations have found me, from other markets or PD's who move around will often take your voice to their new gig in a different market while you continue to serve the station they just left. Now days with Group ownership you can work group deals and get more than one market from one group, Example I have (3) Markets from one group and (4) From another an so on. Currently I am working 72 Stations.
Each year I expect to lose a few as they change up, so I am always on the hunt for new deals
In Imaging,
Stations usually change image voice sparingly, so you never know when they are looking, one tactic is since the advent of Streaming, Listen to the station you want, write and produce some drops/promos using their slogans and calls and send the demo to the PD. If he likes it he will have you in line for the next change or he may send it to another station in his group. Same thing for internet radio, If you listen to a station that you feel just sucks, produce something and send it to them. Usually you will at least get a call back, and take it from there!
I’d like to invite you to join a group I’ve started called “Voices of Colors.” There members offer information and advise each other on navigating this business as people of color. Just go to "forum" (up top), then to "groups," then join "Voices of Colors." Looking forward to hearing of your experiences.
Mike
I know you’ve been a member of Voiceover Universe for some time, but I wanted to introduce one of our groups to you.
I hope you'll check out and join a group called MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT. It's a group dedicated to discussing ways we can market ourselves - what works; what doesn't. You’ll find some very interesting ideas and concepts there! And we would appreciate your input. Click here for the link: MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT!
Thanks for your time! I trust our paths will cross soon!
Best to ya!
