I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
Uh, well, I went to USC film for a critical studies degree because I wanted to be a film critic. Instead, I was told that I'd do well at voiceover because of my (according to "them") ability to do different voices. I pretty much ignored all of this advice until I got laid off one day by a major visual effects company. After spending 8 months getting an unemployment, I responded to a craigslist ad in August 2004 titled "looking for voiceover talent". I wasn't going to say "the rest is history", but that's pretty much the compressed version of how I got here.
RECENTLY BOOKED PROJECTS
I recently became the new voice of the SyFy Network, which is great fun to do. Other than that, I usually work on soundalike stuff, videogame stuff, animation stuff, and the occassional commercial stuff.
I'd rather you tell me. Because, after all, if I listed a bunch of adjectives here, you'd probably say, "dude, you're none of those things!" :)
