I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor, Copy Writer
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I worked in radio a million years ago. I got bored with being a DJ but energized when I got a gig at a small town radio station writing and producing creative commercials. It was small town, so we did it all. I wrote 'em cast 'em (the station staff was my talent pool, endearing in their lack of acting chops), produced 'em (carts, tape, razor blades and a music and sfx library consisting of LP records...you get the drift) and put them on the air! It was the most fun I ever had.
Now, after years of working in computers I'm getting back into VO. I've been working from home for five years. I've booked a few things here and there, nothing earth-shaking, but I'm getting there. I'm always keen to link up with other VO artists in the LA area and talk shop, collaborate, write copy, etc.
Drop me a line!

VOICE DESCRIPTION
Barry's rich, warm, fun-loving voice has been described as the voice of 'the Dad you wish you had.' A baritone-bass with an expressive range, Barry's characters can range from young to old, naive to world-weary, and from sincere, warm, fatherly concern to the slightly off-kilter, goofy guy that parents chuckle at and kids gravitate to. Oh, and there are accents. Always with the accents. (Ask Barry what a Yooper is...)
Barry's voice has been featured in national and regional radio commercials, animation, games, web videos and training presentations. He has also been production manager at several radio stations, writing and producing creative commercials with a big dollop of humor proven to drive sales and increase client recognition.
