Hello Barry,
I just finally got around to reading you comment about P2P sites, thank you SO MUCH.
Like it was said in class, at the very least these sites are great places to quickly figure out how the heck you are going to perform the script, woodshed and edit. I'm learning a great deal and I think my ears are becoming more keen. I certainly agree with getting to the auditions as quickly as possible. For me that's starting around 5pm in the afternoon as I have to do it after my "day" job, but at least it's a start and for now I "have to do what I have to do" to make things work.
I have been with voices.com for just over a month and feel very fortunate to have been awarded a job. It was for a walk through tour for an energy efficient house built by the Un. of South Florida. This is right up my alley as my husband and I are both very interested in this type of stuff. I have no clue if it helped any, but in the proposal that goes along with the audition I mentioned that we have wind turbine to help power my studio. I thought, what the heck, it can't hurt.
Doing the project was a learning experience in itself. They wanted a very quick turn around on the project (yet that evening from the time when they first contacted me) so that was a bit daunting, but I got it done. The whole auditioning deal is a learning experience that's for sure.
Congratulations on all you've accomplished thus far! Awesome!
Thanks for taking the time to share your comments and advice.

Barry,
Super demos! You did your commercial demo with Jim and Penny, correct? It is fantastic.
