  • Over the last few months, I have had the privilege to voice regional/national PSA's concerning African Americans and diabetes, arthritis, heart disease and encouragement for families to eat together.
  • Hello Everyone!

I have recently become a part of the American Cancer Society's Look Good... Feel Better program, lending my voice and facilitating sessions for cancer patients. The purpose of the program is to help women in treatment cope with the physical and emotional changes during chemo and radiation. It is an amazing program serving amazing people nationwide.

  • This group is what it's all about. :)
Back when I was pursuing my degree in animation, I always said that I wanted to use my talent take make a difference in the world, especially in the lives of children. Now that I've found my love for voice acting, the goal is the same. I see it when I go to the studio and see the smiles on the faces of the director's children. That's what it's all about. I love lending my voice to great causes. :)
  • Hi Jai, thanks so much for the invite. I'll help any way I can. It's always a good thing to be associated with like minded people.
    best regards,

  • Beautiful!
  • Hi Jai,
Great idea to lend a voice for those in need. I lived on the Gulf Coast for over 20 years and went through a few bad storms myself. If I can help in any way, please let me know.
  • Hey Jai,

Great to be a part of this group...can't believe it took me this long to hone in. I look forward to opportunities for pro bono work as my career evolves.

I got started in this biz lending my voice on church video event announcements and also on the intro/outro of pastor's radio message..."Maximum Potential." I'd like to think my small part could have contributed in a positive way to someone's life.

    Hey everyone,

It's been a few weeks since this group has had any activity so I thought I might get things started again. Attached is a radio spot i did a couple of years ago for Las Vegas Teen Crisis Center. I didn't do the spot for free, but gave a discounted rate since they were a legit non-profit.

To anyone that doesn't know: Any REAL non-profit organization should be able to provide you with a "donation" receipt for your work to write off on your taxes. For pro-bono, the amount of this receipt would be the amount you would actually have done the job for if they were a regular client, in this case I got a receipt for the price DIFFERENCE I gave them for being a non-profit. For example, if you normally charge $1000 for a radio spot but do it for a non-profit for $750, you would receive a donation receipt of $250.

Thanks Jai for starting a great group!
  • Congratulations!!!!!!

  • Not only am I a member, but also am now public service announcer for an organization called Life Sharers. It provides those who need vital organ transplants a better chance at survival because LifeSharers members offer their organs first to other organ donors when they die. When you join, you get preferred access to the organs of other members. Thus, if you, as a member, were in need of a transplant, you wouldn't have to be put a national waiting list. Most likely what you'd need would be there for you. There’s no age limit, parents can enroll their minor children, and no one is excluded due to any pre-existing medical condition.

    And it's free. or 888-ORGAN88
