  • HeatherFarrar Poetizing Life: Upward Mobility by HeatherFarrarQuillsong

Writing my article each week for a small town newspaper sometimes takes me to places I didn't think were there. I have free reign to put in "whatever" I find relevant to my byline "Poetize Life:" I love my editor because she tells me, "Go deep-the deeper the better!" In order to do that it takes getting personal sometimes. This week I was frustrated because of many things. I am one of those "writer" types who loves her seclusion, a true hermit when it comes to needing personal time to write, or create. I have ADHD, and have learned to manage it well without over a lifetime. BUT, I know I am a perfectionist too and in order to focus well on a project, this time of solace is a protective layer to make sure I can do things well-unhurried-with good results!  When you have 8 people with differing schedules in your home, or needing you, or leaning on you it gets invasive. I am also a procrastinator on my column. Now, I always make deadline, but rarely ever sooner (I like to live on the edge!) My mind is incubating the idea till then though!  I stated in a comment below to Penny on her amazing video, perspective is EVERYTHING. Instead of thinking, "I am so blessed that my family is all around me, healthy, and working." I took a negative road. I knew to ask for some "higher" help with my views in that moment. Within minutes of this "thought for help" I began writing. Fifteen minutes later-well before deadline- I finished this and turned it in. I do not wish to offend anyone with posting this as I know each have a unique personal perspectives on spirituality- yet to the contrary, I am sharing this to edify! Every day is a gift, abet a differing gift each and everyone despite our expections in gleening from it our will for it. It is our expectations that sometimes take away the essence of the gift, if we are not open to receiving it! May your day be a grand one today!

  • The video brought tears to my eyes Penny. How beautiful, how moving! So very much like you to share this amazing video, as it is so evident your heart is as it's message!

I read a book recently called, "In a Pit with a Lion On Snowy Day!" by Mark Batterson. Perspective is everything... and a sense of wonder! This video caps it!

  • What a wonderful video. good reminder to be thankful even though the business is not moving ahead. To be thankful for the projects I have done and able to share in my marketing to prospective clients. Positive creates more positive.
