  • THIS from Great Day

    Let go of limiting beliefs
You have the power to change your life. You have the power to change the world.

You can take action, you can make a difference, and you can respond in a positive, creative way to any situation. You can do whatever must be done to live the life of your dreams.

Yet in order to do so you must first believe that you can. In order to do so you must let go of the limiting beliefs you use to hold yourself back.

Each limiting belief you have is nothing more than a thought that lives in your mind. It is a thought that has power only as long as you continue to hold on to it.

What do you believe you cannot do? Though it may be a comfortable and familiar part of your life, that belief is constantly working against you.

Just as you have chosen to hold that limiting belief, you can choose to let it go. One by one, let go of your limiting beliefs, and free yourself to make the very most of every moment.

This is the moment you have, this is the moment you are living. To find the very best in it give your very best to it, with love leading the way.
  • Some times, it's the little things we can show gratitude and appreciation for. By seeing all around us that we have to be thankful for - we open ourselves to an Attitude of Gratitude!

Today I am so thankful for all my incredible blessings – but especially for my DISHWASHER! After cooking a big meal and eating such scrumptious food, I’m SO grateful I don’t also have to wash a big sink full of dirty dishes!

I am so thankful for ALL of you here at PTU. You really can't imagine how much you help me every day of my life. When I come here and see your wonderful words of encouragement and love for each other, I know that creating this group was truly inspiration from above. You are the best! And I love you!

    Hugs,

    Penny

  • I am thankful for my wonderful students, like Darla, who teach me something new every day. I am thankful for my wonderful friends and amazing family and the opportunity to spend this day with them. Happy Thanksgiving to you all - xoxo
  • Hi I would thank my great wife Kathy .She is very good at getting the very best and more from me. I would rather be surfing everyday ,however, kathy says how will we do well later in life if you just horse around and don't fufill your dreams.
    Hmm... I guess that's true
Happy Days are here for us all
    .Be thankful
  • Jennifer - what a lovely tribute to your Aunt Josephine! I know she would be SO proud of you! I think you are probably more like her that you know.

Priyanka - I love your story! You are indeed a strong and courageous woman! It sounds like you have amazing role models in your life. The support we get from family simply cannot be over-valued!

Christine - I know what a great mom you have - but "the nut doesn't fall to far from the tree!" YOU are amazing. I admire you so much - your strength, your sense of humor and your loving nature. You're a peach, dear one!

Darla - I am SO proud of you! We talked a long time ago about "we old broads having to stick together!" LOL You have accomplished SO much in such a short time.

I am so thankful to have you all with us at PTU. You had wonderful role models and now YOU are the kind of women we would all like to be!

    Big hugs,

    Penny
  • In India, a woman is supposed to live with her parents till she gets married and live with her husband after she is married. It is not imaginable for a girl from a middle class family to live all by herself. I belong to a middle class family. And I have always wanted to live on my own. I am an open minded person, which sometimes makes people feel as if I am a rebel and that I should probably change my ways. By which they mean, I should be less out spoken and not question things that everyone around me seems to have made their peace with. But not my Father. A man of few words, he has always given me my space and respected me for what I am. It’s because of him that I have been able to move out and live on my own. I get my strength from him. I get my dreams from My Love Aviv, from him I learnt to trust and Love with all my heart. My mother taught me how to be compassionate. And my brother showed me how to be outspoken. But these are not the only things I learnt from them. I think, I understand myself better because of their unconditional love and support. Thank you, Mum and Dad for being the greatest parents in the whole world. Thank You Aviv, for letting me be a part of your beautiful soul!
Thank you for being my Life!
  • The person who has made a profuond difference in my life more than most.is my Aunt Josephine who died when she was 100 years old a couple of years ago in the South of France.. She lived alone in her own home Independent until the end .She is the one who taught me to be independent and be an entrpreneur and to enjoy life. Her big motto in life was 'Never be cruel or unkind to any one or to any living creature" and to have a drink of wine every now and then!! Her sense of humour was hysterical and she loved audiobooks- especially political memoirs. and biographies-maybe some of you out there enriched her life even more..She supported me with praise and encouragement in good times and dark times and still lives in my heart.Bless her cotten socks! I'm working on being just like her when I grow up!
Happy Thanksgiving y'all. I raise a glass to her memory and to all of you .Be well and prosper.
  • Hey Penny if I am only allowed one person(btw is not fair lol) it is a tie 3 ways...you,Jim and my mom., mostly for the same reasons: tons of encouragement, you allow.me to.say ouch and the best of all; all three of you will do virtually anything to help me succeed!! God Bless all three of you, and thank ya from the bottom of my pea pickin little heart(said with a southern accent) LOL!!

  • I want to thank my voice over coach - Vanessa Hart. If Vanessa had not called me and forced me to jump into working on improving my voice over skills, I would not have gotten the opportunity to follow my dreams. Now, I am starting to work at narration of audio books. This would have been just an expensive hobby if Vanessa hadn't given me a boot in the rear!! Thanks again and always, Vanessa.
    AND
I want to thank Penny Abshire who convinced me that I am not too old to re-invent myself. Thanks to you too, Penny!
