Dearest Positive Thinkers,
Thank you all for the wonderful well-wishes following my surgery. I don't have to explain to you how I could actually feel your loving, positive thoughts as I was being wheeled into the operating room. I had such a feeling of peace and I have you to thank for that. You are amazing people and I love you all.
As Christmas approaches this year, I have had more time than other years to contemplate its true meaning. Whether or not you are a Christian, most people agree this is a special time of year. A time when we are a little kinder, a little more patient, a little more thankful for the things we have.
You've all been reading about the severe rain storms we have been having here in California - it has been quite a ride! As I recuperate here in my warm, safe home, I am so grateful for these four walls and the warmth within.
I am also so SO grateful for the disappearance of the constant pain I have experienced for the last 3+ years. I feel like my life is renewed!
All that being said, I know I am rambling (pain meds do that to me) I wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate your positive thoughts and energy. My successful surgery was due (in no small part) to all of you!
Be well.
Penny,

I am keeping you in my prayers for a complete and speedy recovery!
May the Lord watch over you and keep you close to His heart (as Janet and I do) especially during this most blessed Christmas Season.

Lots and lots of love coming out your way from Connecticut.
God Bless!
