  • Hi Jack,
Perhaps I should say hey, instead?
I absolutely love the saying "It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog!" Life must be met in a positive manner. Consider difficulties as challenges, not problems. Never give up!
Always follow your heart! If you love what you do, you will be just fine. It took having heart surgery for me to realize what was really important in life.
Live, love and laugh, with family and friends. Everything else will work itself out.
I love what Barry Trussell wrote!
Remember...anything you do long enough, sooner or later, you will get it right.
Follow your heart and your passion. Things will be fine, Jack!
  • Chuck,

    I told you so! 
  • Chuck, that is cool. I had thought about taking part in that webinar, but wasn't able to attend due to prior commitments. I love imaging and do a small amount of it here and there myself.
  • Jack, remember the old saying "Never let them see you sweat"? Always keep your chin up. I realize that many of us hit moments of panic, I'm guilty myself, having hit one of those moments this week as well. I took a breather, walked away for a few minutes, reminded myself everything will be ok and went back to marketing and working.
  • I try to keep a good outlook but it's getting more and more difficult. 2 years on Voice123 almost now and all I got was 2 $50 gigs. What, pray tell am I doing that's so HORRIBLY wrong? Just statistics should have a better outcome than that you'd think. I'm really getting bummed out now. Even with coaching, which I can hardly afford by someone well known in the industry and still nothing. Sometimes I get to feeling like I'm just a loser and I need to just crawl in a hole and disappear. It's not easy as my economic resources are now so scanty and going down even more. I don't know what to do anymore. It gets really depressing some days. God is in charge and He knows best. Boy, I wish He'd hurry up and turn my "steering wheel" in some better direction soon.
  • I know that Penny will NOT find this amazing....but I kind of do...today I took part in a webinar about Radio Imaging...I have a friend that has a company called "Imagine Words and Music"....it's a radio jingle company....I went to high school with the owner, Geoff Bate. ( A long but interesting story there for anyone that is interested)

During the webinar...I thought.. I need to call Geoff tomorrow and chat....I JUST got an email....from Geoff telling me he will be on Maui in two months...go figure.
  • Hey PTU here is my inspirational thought for today.

Hey everyone I watched the movie Facing the Giants(for the umpteenth time) last night. If you haven't seen it, do it is totally worth the time.

The message that stuck out for me is when one of the leads says "if we win, we praise Him; if we lose we praise Him" That phrase was great for me as I have been going through what I feel is a lot of loss for the past two years. From now on with God's help I will praise him "win or lose"

I hope this will encourage at least one more person!

  • I planted a seed. It didn't grow.
I planted another seed, and watered it, it grew.
I planted another seed, watered it, fertilized it, and it flourished! That produced more seeds. Sometimes I think I take the right steps and nothing happens. However when I have taken the right steps, there is always a positive outcome.
  • As you may know I spent the weekend in San Diego. As you may not know, I was able to spend considerable time with Penny Abshire.

Tonight, in the back yard watering the tangerine tree, Lisa ( my wife and best friend) were talking....I waxed positively about something that normally I would have been very negative about. I even changed the subject.... Lisa says to me....

    "Who IS this Penny?"......

    Need I say more?
  • Sounds like the HAPPY FILE I have kept for years. Whenever someone writes me a kind or encouraging note, or something is written about me, I put it in my file. On the days I feel down, I just pull it out and read. It's amazing what it can do for you.

I highly suggest the Happy File, framed messages, the notebook or any other means to remind yourself how much you mean in this big world. And especially how much you are loved!

    Big hugs
