  I am planing to make it next year Penny. I knew I was going to have to sit it out this year, but it gave me time to start making plans for the next one.

  The miracle I've prayed for never came. I've paid my tuition, booked my room, but I can't afford to get there. I was overly optimistic when I made the plans, but haven't made enough money this year to save and the cost of the hotel room + travel expenses is more than I have. I kept thinking something was going to come up, I never lost hope, but now I guess I don't have a choice. I feel awful. I'm letting down people who are counting on me to be there, and I just physically can't do it. I'm only a 6-hour drive away, and I can't do it. I feel destroyed.

  Running around today: picking up demos, dropping off books, last minute singing lessons with accompanist (recital coming up), packing, getting cats to kennel, and packing (oh, guess i already said that). See you all in a couple of days. Excitement!!!!
