  • Hi Penny,
Thank you for the invite! I hope I'll learn much more examples being positive!
What about me, I can't imagine my life without positive thinking! And one of the reason of it - children! I've two of my own and moreover, I work at school! Children are like an energizer.
Love children and you never be negative thinker, even if you are short of money, in bad moon...
I wish you to be happy, positive.
  • Thanks Penny for the Johnny video. Something we all strive for.
Thank you for making a difference.
  • How's this. . .

I plan to say that out loud 5 times this morning!

Thanks, Rhona - this is wonderful advice! The Power of Attraction is pretty amazing, isn't it?

  • Say it out loud! Not too long ago I caught a special on my local PBS station about power of positive thinking and saying what you want out loud! Repeat positive affirmations to yourself for at least 5 minutes each night. This puts the message into your subconscious for processing. It has truly been working in my VO world. I've been getting steady work and new networking contacts on a daily basis. Yesterday I was able to lend my voice to a young techno band out of the UK. How fun is that? Thanks Penny for kick starting my positive thinking. Have a vocal day everyone!!
  • Awww shucks - thanks :)
  • Ah, thanks, Shelley. I'm so glad to be able to brighten you day - you ALWAYS brighten mine when I see you pretty smile!

  • Hi Penny

Thank you for the invite. I hope to gain some benefits from being part of this group as positive thinking is in short supply at the moment.

My story is not dissimilar to yours. A career, or even several careers, playing safe, paying the mortgage and feeding the children. A few years ago I was asked to help a local amateur theatre group with their production of South Pacific and, at the age of 47, discovered that I could sing, that standing on a stage in front of a thousand or so people was not a problem. I do not have a problem with confidence but till that point I would not have considered myself gregarious or particularly outgoing.

The economic downturn left me unemployed. So, while searching for work I signed up with a couple of acting agencies and got work doing videos to autocue. A few complements about my reading and I knew I needed to try voiceover work.

My adventure is just starting. I have done some voiceover training and volunteered at a local radio station to learn about production. I am not expecting to make millions or become famous but I just know I am meant to do this.

Thank you again for the invite.
